NEW SCHOOL YEAR

LiveSync synchronizes student information from your PowerSchool database with your BusBoss scenario (database). Currently your LiveSync is configured to point to your current BusBoss school year scenario.

What to do in preparation for your new school year

1. Once your school year has ended and you do not expect any more changes to your current school year scenario and just prior to when your PowerSchool database rolls over for the next school year, stop your synchronization
   • Go to where your LiveSync is installed. Example: folder path C:\Program Files (x86)\Orbit Software Inc\PowerSchool LiveSync
   • Run PowerSchool LiveSync.exe
   • Click Synchronize Students on the left side of the LiveSync dialog screen
   • You will see the screen below
   Uncheck Automatically Synchronize student information
   • Click Synchronize Transportation on the left side of the LiveSync dialog screen
   • You will see the screen below
   
2. Graduate (Roll Over) your current BusBoss scenario to the new school year scenario
3. Once PowerSchool has rolled over complete the steps below to point LiveSync to your new school year scenario

To Reconfigure LiveSync to point to your new school year scenario:

1. Go to where your LiveSync is installed. Example: folder path C:\Program Files (x86)\Orbit Software Inc\PowerSchool LiveSync
2. Run Powerschool.exe
3. Click BusBoss on the left side of the LiveSync dialog screen
4. You will see the screen below

5. Fill in the new school year scenario name in the Database window
6. Click the Test button to test your connection to the database
7. You should get "Database connection succeeded
8. Go back to Synchronize Students, if needed, check Automatically Synchronize student information
9. Go back to Synchronize Transporation, if needed, check Automatically Synchronize Transportation Information
