INTRODUCTION

LiveSync is a tool created by Orbit Software Inc. to synchronize student information and routing information between the PowerSchool student information system and the BusBoss transportation management system.

LiveSync offers the following features:

• Downloading student information from PowerSchool into the BusBoss database, including students' addresses, grades, school assignment, guardian contact information and more
• Uploading transportation information from BusBoss directly into PowerSchool's database
• Silently running data synchronization, allowing the program to be run on a regularly scheduled task
• Full control over field mapping via PowerSchool's API, allowing the user to map fields from PowerSchool to any available field in BusBoss's import qeue
• Email notifications for system administrators, indicating the program's status when running synchronization
