Sapphire Export - New School Year

Sapphire Export synchronizes student information from your Sapphire system with your BusBoss scenario (database). Currently your Sapphire Export is configured to point to your current BusBoss school year scenario.

What to do in preparation for your new school year

1. Once your school year has ended and you do not expect any more changes to your current school year scenario and just prior to when your Sapphire database rolls over for the next school year, stop your synchronization.
   • Go to where your Sapphire Export is installed. Example: folder path C:\Program Files (x86)\Orbit Software Inc\Sapphire Export
   • Run SapphireExport
   • Click Output
   • Change the file and/or folder to another location
2. Graduate (Roll Over) your current BusBoss scenario to the new school year scenario
3. Once Sapphire has rolled over complete the steps below to point Sapphire Export to your new school year scenario

To Reconfigure Sapphire Export to point to your new school year scenario:

1. Go to where Sapphire Export is installed. Example: folder path C:\Program Files (x86)\Orbit Software Inc\Sapphire Export
2. Run the configuration tool
3. Click database on the left side of the screen
4. Fill in the new school year scenario name in the Database window
5. Click the Test button to test your connection to the database
6. You should get "test successfull" message
7. Click output on the left side of the screen.
8. You will see the screen above
9. Enter the correct location of the output file
